It is very irony how some muslims themselves tried to defend the christians in this black and white issue. Clearly Christian has no other intention in using the word Allah rather than to misuse it.
The statue of virgin Mary wearing sari which had created chaos in the whole of India leading to a massive protest by the Hindus is an undeniable truth to begin with. Not forgetting recently a campaigned organized buy Australians Muslim “Save Maryam” went viral due to the Christinization agenda in Indonesia.
Why is it so wrong for Muslims to defend it? Defending the word Allah is not a recognition of weakness but it is responsibility as Muslims that needs to be looked after to ensure that Malaysia is always harmonious and peaceful under the shade of a multiracial community, along with respecting the social contract.
But unfortunately some took it too personally and tried to defend the Christians when they are not supposed to.
Like what Siti Kasim has mentioned ,” they are under-minding the Malays as well, with what they are doing they are saying that Malays are Stupid”
Siti Zabidah Kasim thinks that Muslims look stupid when they try to defend the word Allah.It is as if Malays cannot handle the fact that Christians wants to use it because Malays are so stupid to the extent that they’re scared their grandchildren would be astray and convert to Christianity due to confusion.
Actually Malays aren’t stupid. Our concern is not just regarding Muslims being astray or whatever not. This Holy word Allah as a matter of a fact has no significant in the Malay Bible because Allah is an Arabic name.
So why in the world Christians in Malaysia are fighting so hard to use it. They don’t even know how to pronounce it well.
Allah Is not just a “word” to Muslims. Its is more than that. It is the most crucial fundamental of Islam. Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him lived his live shedding blood , swet and tears on its mission to convey the message of the oneness of Allah. There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his Servant and messenger.
Islam is ‘Adil (justice) .Justice in Islam is more than just achieving equality. Its goals is to serve humanity as whole so that human could achieve peace, tranquillity and freedom. Islam does not deny the rights of some minority Malay Christians in The peninsula to use the word Allah.
Islam is not exclusive rather it is inclusive. It recognizes the rights of everyone both majority and minority align with its maqasids (foundational goals)which is preservation of religion, life, lineage, intellect and property.
But due to the fact that the Majority of Christians in Malaysia is misusing it , that is the reason why we deny their rights to use it. The Christians are the ones who put themselves in this situation and now they are questioning this and that.
We ought to respect each other’s religion, but why is it that when it comes to respecting Islam people starts questioning and saying that this is an act of extremism.
Malaysia as an Islamic country has been respecting and recognizing the presences of other religion in this country. Why can’t other religion recognize that Islam is the State’s official religion which needs to be respected too.
We can’t be to kind like the rooster who had her chicks eaten by the fox, at the end of the day she was eaten by the fox.
